This commissioned portrait took me by surprise. Usually patrons commission portraits of their own pet but in this case the dog belonged to their Daughters ex-boyfriend. They grew very attached to the dog if not the boyfriend. I really liked the tough look of the dog against the soft abstract pattern of the ground.
